Billions of years from now will humans be so advanced that they will have the technology?

to prevent the universe's demise? Scientists say that the universe will either expand until it completely disintegrates or until it's collapses in a "big crunch". They don't know yet what will happen because they don't know if there's enough m and gravity for a big crunch to happen.
