I have a black J.B. Player electric guitar, strat style, purchased circa 1986-7. I have been trying to find?

out more about the guitar but with no luck via the internet. I believe it to have costed in the $500 range at the time. It has a licensed "Floyd Rose" tremolo with some design variation. It is a neck through the body design. Two single coil and one humbucker near the bridge. Two black knurled knobs for tone and volume and three switches. Anybody have any info on this guitar? At the guitar shop that just serviced, repair guy believed that brand was made by a bigger, more well known manufacturer back in that time frame. Just trying to find out pedigree of guitar. Thanks.
