How much is my pain and suffering worth?

I was in a car accident (other drivers fault) a few months ago that caused whiplash and back pain. I went to the hospital and to a chiropractor. Medical bills add up to around 2000. I had just had a baby and was feeding, so I could not use any pain medicine other than Tylenol or Motrin which did not work well. Picking up my children and feeding aggravated the problem. I am not longer seeing the chiropractor because of scheduling issues, but still have some pain and headaches now and then (nothing like at first though I was in tears alot!) The insurance adjuster has called to settle. I dont want to go into negotiations with out knowing what my claim is actually worth. Any advice? I would rather avoid the hle with a lawyer if possible. Thank you all in advance. and if it matters I am still feeding and fed my first for 13 months. no one else was injured in the accident.all advice is appreciated.
