African American Magazine?

As I was talking to a good friend of mine, we stumbled upon the subject of Afican American Magazines. When you go to a store and you see a shelf full of magazines like Elle, Vogue & so forth, you wonder if the Afican American community should have magazines along the lines of those. We, in the African American community have magazines like Essence, Jet, & Upscale but do they really get the same attention & attraction as Seventeen, Allure, Elle ect? So my question is, should we have more African American magazines along the lines of Marie Claire, Elle ect. featuring our African American brothers & sisters?
